Let's talk about micellar water today.

Even though micellar water has been available for a long time, it resurfaced to fame a year ago. Then Boom! There are micellar waters in all the brands screaming it's new availability. I still get queries about micellar water and get asked if it's just water or what? I even see confusions online about why they should buy micellar water when they already have water for free. What kind of a scam the beauty industry is pulling off? So let me explain this straight. Micellar water is just cleansing water. The only advantage of having this is you do not need to rinse your face after washing. Now this was created in France or so they say, because back then they had dirty tap waters and the women didn't want to wash their faces with it. Hence they used this water. Anyways back to the micellar water, I would recommend this only for wiping your face after your full face cleaning process. Though there are claims made like it will remove your lipstick stains and eyeliners, it doesn't work that way, only may be to an extent. Don't go expecting that this will clean your full water proof make up off your face. I have always been a big fan of double cleansing (oil based + foam based) only after that process, I finally use micellar water for a clean swipe to remove the balance residue. Now I don't usually use this product at home on an everyday basis, I only add this to the routine if I'm wearing a lot of makeup and I want to remove every single make up particle. It was really helpful when I was abroad travelling and I didn't have enough water to clean my make up. So those are the two major pros in using micellar water. Here I have been using garnier micellar water which has been doing great for me. I have had no skin irritations and it does a good job. Now don't fall for these wipes that claim to have micellar water, the ingredients are not the same and it leaves your skin irritated, atleast that's what it did to me.
