Bali, a Paradise island known for it's volcanic mountains, pristine beaches, holy temples, rice paddies and corals, but do you know the most important must visit iconic spots in Bali, then read further without much ado.
Mount Batur

Mount Batur is an active volcano, the sight very fascinating to view. There are even sunrise trekking tours available for those who enjoy adventure hiking that take you to the top of the mountain but I have heard the spot to be very commercialized. However as we were short on time, we couldn’t go trekking to Mount batur, but I hope to go next time.

There were lots of tourists at our vantage point and I have to warn you, the vendors over there are very persuasive. If you do not want to buy anything, its better to give them a firm no and keep walking, they are bound to follow you. There are a couple restaurants at the Cliffside with the views of the volcano mountain, if you wish to sit back and enjoy the view.
Ulundanu Temple

Pura Ulundanu beratan temple is situated at Lake beratan located near the mountains in Bedugul, an important water temple at Bali.

The lake is known as the lake of holy mountain due to its rich fertility in the vicinity. The climate here was so different and wonderful, more like cool hillstation climate quite opposite to the warmer regions of bali.

The spot is very iconic and they do have boating if you want to ride across the lake. This is the temple that is displayed on the 50000 rupiah bill notes of bali. I really loved the energy around here, the scenic place was so soothing and calm.
Tanah Lot Temple

The another most famous temple, also known as floating temple or the temple in the sea and my most favorite spot is Tanah lot temple. To view its offshore setting, it is commonly visited in the sunset backdrop. Another main highlight of this spot is to buy cheap souvenirs.

During the condition of high tides, you may not be allowed to cross to the temple. If you get to cross at low tide, you may be able to sight the guardian sea snake present near the fountain of holy water in the temple. If you are lucky enough to come across a priest, they may bless you with the holy water, also you can take a sip out of it to enjoy its freshness.

The other side of the Tanah lot has a hollow rock formation which connects it to the mainland. You may be tempted to get down to see the shore, but don’t get carried away and put yourself at risk. Also don’t get too near the waves and rocks, as it may be slippery and hazardous. This hindu temple is the most famous tourist spot, cultural icon for photography and by far my most favourite spot.
Garuda Visnu

Garuda Vishnu Kenkana cultural park is known for its large statue of Vishnu and Garuda.

The place is known for its art and culture, good to stroll to also view exhibits, markets, reflexology outlet, free services and shows.

The kecak dance is also known to be performed here. The place is also known to host weddings and other gatherings. The amphitheatre there can accommodate a large number, where a number of plays are performed with wonderful acoustics.

The attachment of Garuda and Vishnu is still an ongoing process, but is a stunning sight to see and not to be missed.
Pura Luhur Uluwatu

The pura luhur uluwatu is another seaside temple in Uluwatu. Unlike Tanah lot temple, the pura luhur is situated at a 70 meter cliff. The place is also known to have notorious monkeys snatching on the tourist’s belongings, so hold on to your stuffs peeps!

I took a sunset tour, and the sunset was breathtakingly beautiful. The reflection of sun rays over the sea glistened like I have seen at no other place. Like all other religious sites, you got to have dressed respectfully, or else borrow a sarong to cover the uncovered legs.

If you hang out a little longer after 6, you get to see the Kecak dance at the temple grounds, which is very entertaining.

So here you have the top 5 must see Sight-seeing in Bali and hope you enjoy them on your visit to Bali and don’t forget to share me your experience.
